Big City

It is almost eight months since my last visit home. No matter how many times I get off the grueling 13 hour flight, I never get tired of the fresh New York air. New York is a mood, a "state of mind," my mother's coffee on a Sunday morning, moist cupcakes, and above all, it is home.

Bangkok Night1: The Breeze

I love the anticipation before going out for a fancy evening. Staci and I spoiled ourselves with a dinner for two at the The Breeze, Labua Hotel. So, we were careful to also dress for such an occasion.

Fireworks, five exotic sauces, stuffed lobster spring rolls, were only to name a few of the details during our dinner. The exotic mood, spices, and the perfect combination of favours, was the perfect end to our first night in Bangkok.

Bangkok Day 1: The Shangri-La

Staci and I are at the Shangri-La in Thailand! The interior decor is a unique fusion of traditional Thai prints with contemporary wooden furniture. Perfect break-fast in bed service and a nice dip at the pool. We started and ended our days with a cup of tea by the window.

Brunch & Thai Trip Planning

At Dosan Gongwon, Vechia & Nueva (brunch) with Staci to plan our trip to Thailand. Finally, I can go some place exotic and warm! My shopping hit list for Bangkok: bold vintage rings, floral prints, and great fabric finds at the famous Textile Market.

I was wearing: Isabel Marant Tweed Cropped Pants, J.Crew Loafers, Scarf from Bundang (boutique), & Prada Floral Tote

Carrot Cake Sundays

Jibbit's recommendation for the "best carrot cake" in Seoul, still remains unchallenged in my top cafe list. Ceci Cela has a hybrid ambience of French vibes mixed with lacy Korean interiors. I was convinced this was a spot that made me feel as if I was in Europe.

Spring Pink is here

Finally. The cold winters of Korea are almost at an end. I've been "storing" street finds from the past weeks: bright blouses, printed leggings, and some "pedal to the metal" pieces inspired by fashion week coverage on Net-a-porter.com.

Photographers grabbed trendy eye candy pedestrians.  Bazaar Korea sponsors were parading around, giving away small goodie bags with Spring Fashion Week magazines. Waves of chit chatty women in their black leggings, flocked to the nearest dessert cafe.

Spring is here.

Back to Tradition

Some of the best conversations happen during walks. Lynn and I strolled down the streets of Samcheong Dong, while doing some serious multi-tasking: rambling about fall s/w trends and window shopping --simultaneously.

Along the way, we found similarities in fashion opinion: How is it that you can't find a descent leather bag that is under the price of a 350,00 dollar Coach bag, carries "brand reliability," and looks like "genuine" leather? (In Korea) Many of the beautiful bags we strolled by were overpriced (Meaning if you paid an extra 150,00 dollars, you'd rather buy a Marc Jacobs Shoulder Large Bag. Regardless, a tender chicken club sandwich and a fresh caesar salad satisfied our cravings and ended our acute critiques about the "perfect leather bag."

Updates to Come!

Super late entry I know! Please "pardon my french" (my new catch phrase since Garance Dore's new collaboration video with Net-a-porter). Dore's video diaries have my full anticipation. More so, I hope many of you will feel the same way about my new blog (currently in the making). This new blog will portray a more detailed perspective on fashion discoveries throughout my travels. Keep watch!

After Visiting my Aunts

Currently at Ewha Station getting a few outfits tailored and munching on street food. After some sweets I headed over back to Gangam. Special thanks to parents for the Fur Hunter Hat! I've worn it at least everyday from going to the supermarket to lunches with friends. Adios!

Celebrating my 25th

Having a morning filled with wishes and greetings at work was the best. Thanks to all my co-workers and friends for the warm cards and gifts!

Dinned at Miel in Chungdamdong with James. He gave me a refill for my Chanel bottle: Coco Mademoiselle, for my birthday present. We chatted the night away over business plans, exotic strategies, and fortune telling about 2012.  We shared laughs over white wine, vongole pasta, and chicken salad. Perfecto!

Orange Fever

I am at Paradise Hotel and a coffee set with soft, sweet Madelines hits just the right spot. After some jaw-dropping gapes at the hotel's interior, I decided to indulge in a Times Magazine and a re-fill.
